vikes -4 1/2 over raiders best bet 2.2 units. Will the Raiders be able to run 19 straight running plays up the gut of the Viking's defense? No.
chefs -6 over bengals. best bet 2.2 units. A lot of points to be laying on a road team against an improved bengals defense... but the Chiefs have looked strong and can win by double-digits here if they're fired up to go undefeated. Plus, how often does a team win after one of it's players gaurantee a victory? maybe 50/50, so a moot point? Maybe the Chiefs will be fired up in response, but I'm not sure that offense really needs any incentive to perform well.
"...CINCINNATI (Nov. 12, 2003) -- The Kansas City Chiefs are trying to become the 17th team in NFL history to start a season 10-0. Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chad Johnson guarantees it won't happen.
Kansas City tries to become the first team since the 1998 Denver Broncos to win its first 10 games -- and make Johnson look foolish in the process when it visits the Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium.
Johnson issued his stunning prediction just after the Bengals beat Houston 34-27 last week, repeatedly guaranteeing that the Chiefs won't be unbeaten when they leave Cincinnati.
"We're going to win next week, too," he said. "Who are we playing next week? Kansas City? Yes, we're going to win.
"They're only undefeated until they come in here next Sunday."
The Chiefs heard Johnson's comments, though they don't plan to respond.
"We don't need to inspire our opponents any more than they need to be inspired," Chiefs coach Dick Vermeil said. "We try to make very rational, classy statements and always reflect positively on our opponents."
